Therapy specializing in the trauma that follows a complex medical diagnosis
Healing the person and the relationship, not the diagnosis
Individual counseling
For individuals, our work may focus on processing the emotional impact of diagnosis, coping with anxiety or depression, redefining identity, managing decision fatigue, or rebuilding a sense of control and meaning.
Couples counseling
For couples, I help partners stay connected while facing stress, shifting roles, changes in intimacy, communication breakdowns, and the strain that illness can place on even strong relationships. Together, we create space for honest conversations, mutual support, and practical tools to navigate this chapter as a team.
Areas of Focus

I help individuals and couples process grief, uncertainty, and shifting dynamics so they can reconnect and face medical challenges.
Hi, I'm Rachael
I specialize in helping individuals process the emotional impact of medical conditions—grief, anxiety, uncertainty and identity shifts. When illness enters a partnership, it can disrupt roles, intimacy, communication, and the future couples once imagined. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and focused on strengthening communication, emotional safety, and resilience.
I believe therapy is meant to include hard conversations, but also joy and relief.
Mostly, I believe therapy is a place for you to be seen. What brings you to therapy is only part of who you are, I look forward to learning your story.
